On the ice: Elora Rocks remain undefeated at home

Weekly wrap-up on the wins and losses from the Elora Rocks, Fergus Whalers, Mount Forest Patriots, Erin Outlaws and Minto 81's

ELORA ROCKS 

Elora won twice over the weekend to keep its undefeated on home ice streak going this season. The team beat the Delhi Flames twice, first 8-2 at home on Friday and then 7-5 at Delhi Arena on Saturday. 

The Rocks are second in the WOSHL standings with seven wins and one loss. 

The team does not play this upcoming weekend and will next face-off against the first place Alvinston Killer Bees on Nov. 15 at home. 

FERGUS WHALERS

The Whalers had a mixed bag weekend, getting both a win and a loss. 

The team fell short against the Mount Forest Patriots on Friday, losing in a shootout for a final score of 4-3. They would go on to win 6-5 over the Mitchell Hawks on Sunday at home. 

Fergus is second out of eight teams in the PJHL’s North Pollock division standings with 13 wins, three losses and one shootout loss.

The Whalers are on the ice in Walkerton this weekend, taking on the Capitals on Saturday. 

MOUNT FOREST PATRIOTS 

It was all wins for Mount Forest, as they beat the Kincardine Bulldogs 3-2 Saturday on top of their Friday night shootout win over Fergus. 

Mount Forest is third out of eight teams in the PJHL’s North Pollock division standings with 10 wins, three losses and two overtime losses. 

The Patriots are on the road this weekend taking on Walkerton on Friday and the Wingham Ironmen on Saturday. 

ERIN OUTLAWS

The Outlaws lost 7-3 at home against the Seaforth Centenaires on Sunday.

The team is eighth out of 11 teams in the OEHL standings with two wins and two losses.

Erin plays twice this upcoming weekend, first against the Durham Thundercats on Friday in an away game and then hosting the Tavistock Royals at home on Saturday. 

MINTO 81’s

Minto did not play this past weekend but will twice in the upcoming one. 

Both games will be on home ice, first on Saturday evening against the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks and then the Lucknow Lancers Sunday afternoon.

The team is seventh out of 11 teams in the OEHL standings with two wins.
