Elora Rocks' league just got bigger

Western Ontario Super Hockey League announced a merger with a new league, for 15 teams in total

ELORA – The league Elora’s senior hockey team is in just got a lot bigger. 

The Western Ontario Super Hockey League (WOSHL) announced it will merge with the Central Ontario Super Hockey League (COSHL) to create a 15-team league called the Ontario Super Hockey League with two divisions. 

Elora Rocks is one of the original teams of the WOSHL, which had its first season in 2021/2022. 

COSHL was in the process of being created and had yet to play its inaugural season before this announcement. 

In this new formation the WOSHL division consists of:

  • Elora Rocks
  • Alvinston Killer Bees
  • Delhi Flames
  • Dunnville Aeros
  • Petrolia Squires
  • Stratford Fighting Irish
  • Strathroy Jets
  • Tilbury Bluebirds
  • Tillsonburg Thunder

The COSHL division teams are:

  • Orangeville Blitz (previously part of WOSHL)
  • Richmond Hill Coyotes
  • The County Royals
  • Madoc Wildcats
  • Trent Hills Stallions
  • Uxbridge Pioneers

The 2024/2025 season is expected to begin in the fall.
