Friday

Centre Wellington Community Supports Fair

Fergus Highland Rugby Club at 160 Albert St. W., Fergus; 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Learn about what community supports and services exist and meet new people. 

Night Maze

Strom’s Farm and Bakery at 5089 Wellington Rd. 32, Guelph; 6 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Includes corn maze and fire pit area only. Fires will be lit for sharing.

Cemetery Tour

Wellington County Museum and Archives at 0536 Wellington Rd. 18, Fergus; 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Explore macabre stories from the people that both lived and worked at the county poor house. Register for the event here.

A new haunted house experience at a century-old farmhouse outside of Fergus.

Salem Frights

470 Wellington Rd. 7, Elora; 8 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Canadian Improv Showcase

Fergus Grand Theatre at 244 St. Andrew St. W., Fergus; 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.

The Canadian Improv Showcase is Canada's premiere professional touring comedy group. The group utilizes the tried, tested and true format of short-form or game-style improvisation - everything is made up on the spot and guided by audience participation. Tickets can be found here.

Belwood Lions Annual Craft Sale

Belwood Community Hall at 36 Queen St., Belwood; 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Elora Farmers’ Market Winter

Fall on the Farm Festival and Artisan Market

The Fieldstone Barn at 7450 Middlebrook Rd., Elora; 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

A farm festival with live music, artisan market, warm beverages, horse-drawn wagon rides, campfires, corn mazes and more. The event is rain or shine. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children. Children who are two-years-old and under are admitted for free.

Fergus House of Horrors Family Friendlier Walkthrough

6854 Beatty Line N., Alma; 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

A new haunted house experience at a century-old farmhouse outside of Fergus with a special daylight, family friendlier walkthrough with minimal scare actors. 

Haunted Corn Maze in Moorefield

The Ottens Farm at 8563 Concession 6, Moorefield; 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

“Gentle scary” from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. for younger children but big scares come out when the sun goes down. All proceeds go towards the Palmerston Hospital.

Minto 81’s

Palmerston & District Community Centre at 520 Cavan St., Palmerston; 5:30 p.m.

Home game against the Durham Thundercats.

Night Maze

Monster March

Downtown Elora; 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

A non-motorized parade where locals and visitors alike get out their best Halloween costumes. Decorate a stroller or wagon to participate in the Wicked Wagons contest. The parade is followed by a “mini-mash” at Bissell Park with free treats and judging of the wagons.Volunteers will be collecting for the Centre Wellington Foodbank.

Actors and historians lead you on a lantern walk and guided tour of one of Canada’s most haunted villages. Tickets are strongly recommended to be bought in advance here.
