Witches taking over downtown Fergus for a night

FERGUS – The witches will soon be out laughing and dancing in the streets of downtown Fergus. 

The annual Witches’ Night Out street festival takes place in Fergus on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a variety of events.

Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as a witch for a possible prize of one of 13 “witch bags.” 

Events, some with a fee, include:

  • Dancing witches of Fergus holding spontaneous dance lessons around downtown
  • Psychic faire and Celtic henna at The Bookery
  • Fire spinning show on Provost Lane
  • Pub Crawl at Offside, Outpost, Goofy Newfie, The Brewhouse and Fergusson Pub
  • Selfie with the friendly Fergus monster at Joanie’s Gifts and Stained Glass
  • Face painting at Pure Water Canada
  • Pumpkin carving demo at Local Pieces
  • Stitch and With at String Theory yarn shop
  • Potion bar and candle painting at The Red Door Restaurant
  • Button making and beading at Echoes
  • Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Fergus Grand Theatre

There will also be a DJ on the street, roaming town crier and other guests wandering downtown Fergus for the event.
