FERGUS – The witches will soon be out laughing and dancing in the streets of downtown Fergus.
The annual Witches’ Night Out street festival takes place in Fergus on Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. with a variety of events.
Attendees are encouraged to come dressed as a witch for a possible prize of one of 13 “witch bags.”
Events, some with a fee, include:
- Dancing witches of Fergus holding spontaneous dance lessons around downtown
- Psychic faire and Celtic henna at The Bookery
- Fire spinning show on Provost Lane
- Pub Crawl at Offside, Outpost, Goofy Newfie, The Brewhouse and Fergusson Pub
- Selfie with the friendly Fergus monster at Joanie’s Gifts and Stained Glass
- Face painting at Pure Water Canada
- Pumpkin carving demo at Local Pieces
- Stitch and With at String Theory yarn shop
- Potion bar and candle painting at The Red Door Restaurant
- Button making and beading at Echoes
- Rocky Horror Picture Show at the Fergus Grand Theatre
There will also be a DJ on the street, roaming town crier and other guests wandering downtown Fergus for the event.
