Elora Quarry Conservation Area will once again use an online ticketing system this season when it opens for day-use access beginning June 10. The system, first introduced in 2021, will help manage attendance at the popular attraction and create an improved visitor experience for those accessing the property.
Those who wish to visit Elora Quarry are required to purchase tickets and vehicle passes online, in advance, before they are permitted to enter the property. Two 4-hour sessions are offered each day from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. and 3 p.m. – 7 p.m. with capacity limited to 200 people or 150 vehicles per session. Tickets must be purchased separately for each session.
Tickets and vehicle passes are available for purchase on the Grand River Conservation Authority website beginning June 8 and may be purchased up to one week in advance. No walk-up purchases will be permitted and GRCA membership passes will not be accepted. The cost of admission is $10.50 for adults, $5.50 for children, and a vehicle pass can be purchased for $15.00 per session.
To help avoid traffic congestion in the area, vehicles will not be permitted to park along the side of the road in advance of scheduled entry times and visitors should plan their arrival accordingly.
About Elora Quarry
Elora Quarry Conservation Area is a two-acre former limestone quarry with sheer cliffs up to 12 metres high. This day-use property is tree covered and suitable for picnicking as well as short walks along the one kilometre trail. A small sandy beach provides access to the water. The park offers vault toilets, change rooms and picnic tables. Dogs are not permitted.
