Wellington County’s Summer Concert Series is back for its 11th season at the Wellington County Museum and Archives (WCMA) Thursday evenings throughout July and August.

“This is a special year for our annual Summer Concert Series,” said Museum programming supervisor Emily Peters.

“In partnership with the Centre Wellington Black Committee, the first session will be a jazz master class. The other concerts are equally as exciting, bringing returning and new talent to the WCMA. Grab a chair, bring some friends and plan for a fun, free evening of local entertainment - we can’t wait to welcome everyone this season!”

Concert schedule:

July 11: Eddie Bullen and Belinda Brady • Discover the roots of jazz music with Juno-award winning and Grammy-award nominated musicians Eddie Bullen and Belinda Brady as they delve into the rich history and origins of jazz and reggae music.

July 18: Chad Barnes Live Recording w/ Donny V • Experience the magic behind the scenes and be part of the action as this entire performance is recorded live before your eyes.

July 25: 12th Line Band • A special performance by the 12th Line Band, known for their stylistic blend of classic rock and country tunes.

Aug. 1: Fergus Pipe Band and Paul Stouffer • A special event featuring two sets: the first by the renowned Fergus Pipe Band, bringing the powerful sounds of traditional bagpipes to life, and the second by classical and jazz pianist Paul Stouffer, showcasing his exceptional skill and versatility.

Aug. 8: Doug Clayfield Band • An evening of rock ’n’ roll with classic rock covers and originals from this dynamic trio.

Aug. 22: Ernie Kalwa Jazz Quintet • A special evening honouring the legendary cats Duke Ellington & Thelonious Monk and immerse yourself in the timeless, complex, and innovative melodies of these jazz icons.

All concerts begin at 7 p.m. inside the Heritage Barn on site.

Attendees are encouraged to bring their own lawn chair or picnic blanket. No registration is required, and admission is by donation.
