Nominations open for Erin's Shamrock Awards

ERIN – The Town of Erin is looking to honour some outstanding residents and businesses at its annual awards. 

Nominations are now open for the Shamrock Awards, given out by the town, in seven categories. 

The Community Volunteer Award is given to five people who are bettering the community through volunteer work. 

Citizen of the Year is for a community member who has had a positive influence on the town through volunteering. 

Innovation Award is for a group, person or business applying innovative solutions to help the future. 

Business of the Year is for a business that has made a positive impact in town. 

Agriculture/Agri-business Award is for a person, group or business using a progressive approach to tackle agricultural issues.

Environment Award is in recognition of work going towards sustainability in Erin. 

Youth Award goes to a minor who is going above and beyond to make a difference in the community. 

Nomination forms are available online with a submission deadline of Feb. 29.
