Multiple Santa Claus Parades this weekend in Wellington County

Mount Forest, Drayton, Fergus, Moorefeild and Palmerston have parades this weekend

WELLINGTON COUNTY – Another weekend coming means another weekend full of Santa Claus parades around Wellington County. 

On Friday, the Mount Forest Lions Santa Claus Parade takes off from Victory Church at 7 p.m. and proceeds west on King Street to Main Street before heading north to the fire hall. This year’s theme is Christmas in toyland.

At the same time, the Drayton Santa Claus Parade takes place. The lineup for participating floats begins at the Drayton Fairgrounds at 6:30 p.m., no registration required and there is no theme.

The Fergus Santa Claus Parade runs Saturday afternoon starting at 1:30 p.m. The parade takes off from the A.O. Smith parking lot then goes down Maple Street, then east on St. Andrew Street West, up St. David Street North and then west on Hill Street West back to the parking lot.

Saturday evening, the Optimist Club of Moorefield begins at 7 p.m. and takes off from the Murray Group property through town. Following the parade, Santa Claus will be at the Optimist Hall on Ball Avenue to meet with children and hand out treat bags. 

Minto firefighters will once again host Palmerston’s Santa Claus Parade taking place Saturday at 7 p.m. Parade lineup begins at the Palmerston fire station on King Street.
