*************************
Snow squall warning issued for:
Listowel - Milverton - Northern Perth County, Ont.
Mount Forest - Arthur - Northern Wellington County, Ont.

Current details:
Multi-day lake effect snow event expected beginning tonight.

Hazards:
Significantly reduced visibility at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Locally heavy snowfall with total accumulations of 7 to 15 cm through Friday.
Peak snowfall rates of 2 to 3 cm per hour.

Timing:
Tonight through Friday. Likely continuing Friday night into Saturday.

Discussion:
Lake effect snow squalls begin this evening and will continue through Friday as strong northwesterly winds bring cooler air to the region.

Very strong northwesterly winds gusting up to 70 or 80 km/h are also expected tonight, resulting in reduced visibility in blowing snow at times.

Snow squalls cause weather conditions to vary considerably; changes from clear skies to heavy snow within just a few kilometres are common. Visibility will be suddenly reduced to near zero at times in heavy snow and blowing snow.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.
