Impaired charge for Cambridge man

The following are a consolidated list of notable alleged driving offences released weekly by Wellington County OPP.

- On March 25, at approximately 2:15 p.m. Wellington County OPP responded to a two vehicle collision on Queen Street, Puslinch. One person was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries. As a result of the investigation, a 38-year-old Cambridge man was been charged with Impaired Operation - 80 Plus (mgs of alcohol in 100mL of blood) contrary to the Criminal Code.

- On March 26, at approximately 9:15 p.m. a Wellington County OPP officer was monitoring traffic on the Hanlon Expressway South, Guelph. A black sedan was observed travelling at a rate of speed that appeared to be well above the posted 80km/hr speed limit. As a result of the investigation, a 21-year-old Guelph man has been charged with Possession of a Schedule I Substance (Cocaine) contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act and Racing a Motor Vehicle contrary to the Highway Traffic Act.

- On March 27, at approximately 1 a.m. Wellington County OPP received a traffic complaint on Forestell Road, Puslinch. It was reported that a white van had entered the ditch and that the driver had fled the scene. A second report indicated that a residence near the location of the ditched vehicle was entered and property from the home was missing. As a result of the investigation a 39-year-old Etobicoke man has been charged with Break and Enter a Dwelling House and Driving while Prohibited, contrary to the Criminal Code.
