Wellington North Fire reported about 30 firefighters, including some from Minto, responded to a shed fire around 8 a.m. Friday morning in a rural area of Highway 6 near Arthur.
The fire department stated in a press release the shed contained a tractor and snow removal equipment and the probabl cause of the fire was from a block heater.
Damage estimates are unknown at this time. No injuries are reported.
Highway 6 has reopened.

ARTHUR – A structure fire just north of Arthur is closing a major thoroughfare in Wellington County.
OPP West Region Communication’s Twitter account reported just before 9 a.m. Highway 6 is closed between Wells Street East and Sideroad 7 in Wellington North.
This closure covers the section from north Arthur to Kenilworth.
OPP and fire services are on the scene.
