WELLINGTON COUNTY – There will be some upcoming interruptions to services and holiday closures for Centre Wellington and the County of Wellington.
Centre Wellington
The Elora municipal office and Pilkington infrastructure services office will close on Dec. 24 at 4:30 p.m. and reopen on Jan. 2 with regular hours.
The fire administration office, Fergus Grand Theatre and Victoria Park Seniors Centre will close at noon, 3 p.m. and 4 p.m. on Dec. 24 respectively and reopen on Jan. 2 with regular hours. Tickets for all shows will be available for purchase online.
The Elora and Fergus tourist centre will remain open every day 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. except for statutory holidays Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
The Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex and Jefferson Elora Community Centre will close at 3 p.m. Dec. 24 and reopen on Dec. 27. The centre closes early again Dec. 31 at 3 p.m. and reopen on Jan. 2. All programming has been adjusted on availability on the online registration portal.
County of Wellington
The county’s administration centre in Guelph will be closed from Dec. 25 to Jan. 1.
Social service offices close at 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 and reopen Dec. 27 before closing early again 2 p.m. on Dec. 31. They will reopen on Jan. 2.
Child care and learning centres are closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Wellington County Museum and Archives close early on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 at 1 p.m., closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Library closures vary based on branch location but generally are open until 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 and closed Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Waste facilities also vary but generally are open until 2 p.m. on Dec. 24 and Dec. 31 and closed on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Ride Well will not be operating on Dec. 25, Dec. 26 and Jan. 1.
Resumes will still be accepted online during the holiday period.
