Climate change isn’t the only thing heating Guelph up this year.
Ashley Madison, which calls itself a popular dating site for married people, has released its annual list of Canada’s top 20 cities for summer affairs, with Guelph landing the number three spot – up from fourth in 2023.
St. John’s, Nfld. was bumped out of first to second place, with Whitehorse, Yukon, taking first place, and Kelowna, B.C., in fourth.
Things are a little more monogamous in Kitchener, as the city moves from fifth to seventh place.
“With the hot summer months in full swing, Canadians are heating things up in more ways than one. As one of the world’s most progressive countries, Canada is no stranger to the appeal of non-monogamy and more Canadians are exploring possibilities beyond the confines of monogamy,” a press release states.
The data is based on the number of sign-ups per capita between June 20, 2023 to Sept. 22, 2023.
