Working as both Erin's fire chief and the town's CAO, you might say Jim Sawkins had a motor that kept on going and going.
He was rewarded for his efforts Monday, presented with the Energizer Bunny Award by new CAO Rob Adams, in recognition of the energy Sawkins put into both roles over the last several months.
Sawkins stepped in as interim CAO last August when Nathan Hyde moved on to the Town of Caledon.
After a search, the town announced last month the hiring of Rob Adams. His first day was Monday.
