A 29-unit development is proposed for this parcel of land on London Road North, south of Durham Street in Mount Forest.

WELLINGTON NORTH – Township council is set to consider final approval for a 29-unit subdivision in Mount Forest on Monday evening.

The proposal comes from 5053745 Ontario Inc. on a 5.48-acre parcel of land on London Road North, south of Durham Street.

Included in the project are to be 11 single detached lots, a block of townhouses with 10 units and four semi-detached homes (eight units.)

Darren Jones, the township’s chief building official and acting-CAO, explained the proposal was approved by Wellington County council in May, pending a nod from township council to ensure the design meets municipal standards.

Appropriate official plan designation and zoning is already in place, he noted, adding council approval will allow site servicing work to get underway.
