FERGUS – The Fergus Fall Fair is back with four new events and some returning favourites.
The Fergus Agricultural Society is hosting the 186th Fergus Fall Fair on Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Centre Wellington Sportsplex grounds.
New to this year are two Saturday shows by the Canadian Raptor Conservancy, an organization providing educational demos on birds of prey, and two shows by the Cutting Edge Cowgirls, a new horse drill team based out of Mitchell.
Also new are two Sunday shows by KRUSHER, a BMX stunt team from Montreal.
All weekend long will feature the new axe throwing activity which is free with admission for ages 12 and older.
Other highlights include truck and tractor pulls with a beer garden, farm animals, livestock shows and family entertainment.
Organizers said there is a new midway company this year with 10 rides and two inflatables expected. No pre-sale bracelets are available this year but all access passes or individual ride tickets can be bought at the fair.
