TORONTO – Clinton (Clint) Clifford of Erin is celebrating after winning a $300,000 prize with INSTANT PLINKO (Game #2289)!
Clint, a retiree, is an occasional lottery player with OLG. He typically picks up tickets a couple of times a year. Receiving an INSTANT PLINKO ticket for Christmas set off a chain of events that culminated in Clint dropping a Chip on a real PLINKO board at the OLG Prize Centre—and winning a $300,000 prize!
“I knew I’d won a CHIP prize on my ticket, so I took it to the store to have it validated. As I watched the lottery terminal screen, I saw the animated chip land on ‘PLINKO,’” Clint recounted, while visiting the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto. “The store clerk said, ‘Sir! You won!’ When I spoke with the OLG representative on the phone, I had to ask what I’d won. I felt like a deer in the headlights!”
On the day of the live event, nerves and excitement filled the air. “I couldn’t sleep last night; I’ve been so nervous,” Clint said. “When I arrived here, I was impressed by the brightness of the board and the weight of the chip. I wanted to bring it home with me!” he laughed. “As I got to the top of the board, I hoped for the best. I could hear the Chip falling, but I couldn’t see where it landed. The moment of pause before the prize amount was announced felt like forever! I was very happy to hear I’d won $300,000.”
“I feel amazing, and I’m so grateful for this win,” Clint beamed. “I’ve talked with my wife about how we’ll enjoy this prize, and I think I may book a cruise for us to celebrate. I’ll also take this opportunity to share this win with my family,” he concluded.
$5 INSTANT PLINKO combines popular scratch play with prizes revealed in-store by an animated chip drop on the lottery terminal screen and potentially, the chance to drop a chip on a real PLINKO Board at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.
