Local businesses and entrepreneurs were awarded for their achievements all week in a virtual celebration of business by the Centre Wellington Chamber of Commerce (CWCC).
In lieu of their annual gala, the CWCC presented the 2021 Awards of Excellence over Facebook Live from a different sponsor’s location each day.
The awards were hosted by local businesses Ecclestone Financial Group, The Wild Tart, McDonalds, Grand River Agricultural Society, and Skyline Group of Companies.
Sally Litchfield, CWCC general manager, co-hosted each day with nominees and other interested parties watching the events live, and winners able to give acceptance speeches while volunteers delivered the awards.
“We wanted to build an event plan that was resilient to the ever changing restrictions and ensure that we would be able to recognize those who have done great things in the community, and I think we were able to deliver that,” Litchfield said in a press release.
