FERGUS – The boy band that turned the world tartan will have Fergus Scottish Festival crowds spelling out their favourite day of the week this summer.
The Fergus Scottish Festival and Highland Games announced the Bay City Rollers will headline a Scottish Saturday Night Concert as part of its 80th anniversary celebrations taking place Aug. 8 through Aug. 10.
The Scottish pop rock band known as teen idol sensations in the 1970s will be joined by the Red Hot Chilli Pipers and Albannach for the concert taking place on the festival's main stage the night of Aug. 9.
Outlander star Charles Vandervaart will be returning as a featured guest.
"The 80th anniversary is going to be big and we invite the entire community and beyond to join us," said executive director Elizabeth Bender, in a press release. "We are ecstatic to share the great news about Charles and the Scottish Saturday Night with more surprises still to come. This is a yer not to miss."
Festival tickets are on sale now. A Scottish Sagturday Night concert will be included in Saturday and weekend admissions and concert-only tickets are available. Ticket details for the featured guest event are coming soon.
