Road work near Belwood Lake means Wellington Road 18 will be closed twice over the summer which will limit access to the conservation area for a few days.
Joe de Koning, County of Wellington manager of roads, said in an email Cox Construction will begin work starting Monday June 21 until June 25.
This is to replace culverts near Third Line in Centre Wellington.
On Monday, access to Belwood Lake Conservation Area will be from the west and Wednesday will be from the east.
There will be no access to the conservation area on Tuesday June 22. Boaters are asked to use the launch available in Belwood.
Through traffic is asked to detour around using Wellington Roads 29, 22 and 26.
These dates are subject to change due to inclement weather.
The road will close again from July 5 to Aug. 6 to replace culverts near Fifth Line and paving and grading operations east of Second Line to the Dufferin County boundary.
