ELORA – The Elora Centre for the Arts’ expansion is one of 82 projects across Canada receiving a grant from Farm Credit Canada (FCC).

The FCC, through its FCC AgriSpirit Fund, is giving the arts centre $20,000 towards its 3,500 square foot, $4.5 million expansion project which includes a multi-use atrium, an expanded kitchen and fully accessible washrooms.

A news release said this funding will go towards the arts centre creating a “kitchen to support better nutrition, facilitate culinary arts education and foster community connections through food for the community.”

The FCC AgriSpirit Fund is an award between $10,000 and $25,000 to community improvement initiatives in cities, towns or Indigenous communities with fewer than 150,000 people.

FCC is a crown corporation focused on providing financial services to farms or closely related businesses.
