20 county convenience stores (so far) approved to sell booze in September

At least 20 convenience stores and gas stations in Wellington County have been given the green light to sell alcohol, beginning just after the Labour Day long weekend.

According to the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, 20 applications have been approved for locations listed as convenience stores in various municipalities in the county, as of July 5. More could be approved by the time newly licenced convenience stores can begin selling on Sept. 5.

The application process opened June 17.

The list of approved stores, as of July 5, is below.
