Passed away on April 29th at the Long Term Care Residence in Niagara-on-the-Lake, in her 95th year.
Daughter of Amadee and Auralie Gosselin of New Brunswick. Beloved mother of Robert Hetherington and mother-in-law to Denise Hetherington. Dear nana to grand-daughters Andrea (in the UK) and Danielle (in Australia), and great-nana to Ewan, Dylan and Neave (all in the UK). She was extremely fond of her niece and her husband Pam and Frank Doyle in Smithtown, New Brunswick.
Flora was the youngest of 13 children. Her very close and oldest sister Rose passed away years ago while residing in Elora with her husband Ridley Hall. No other brothers and sisters are still living.
Having worked with GSW for almost 30 years, she made numerous friends who spent a considerable amount of enjoyable time together over the years. Flora will be missed by her family and friends but leaves behind many memories of the way she enjoyed life.
Visitation will take place at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South, Fergus on Monday, May 6th, 2024 from 9-10:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will be held at 11 AM at St. Joseph Parish, 760 St. David Street North, Fergus, with interment to immediately follow at St. Mary Immaculate and St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Elora.
